EMMA'S POV
When I got home, I barely recognized the place. It was chaos, boxes everywhere, movers hauling furniture out the door. The sound of shuffling feet and banging echoed through the house, making my head throb.
I never expected Ava's moving would cause a lot of noise and nuisance.
I stepped over a box labeled kitchen stuff and spotted Sebastian standing near the doorway, talking to one of the movers. He looked… exhausted. His shirt was wrinkled, his hair was tousled, and there was sweat on his forehead. None of that mattered, though, because I had questions.
"Where’s the house you found?" I asked, crossing my arms as I approached him.
Sebastian turned to me, his eyes softening a little when he saw me. "It’s nearby," he said after a pause. "About two kilometers away."
