We talk for over an hour when Onyx strolls into the coffee shop. “Briar, I am so sorry. How can I ever make it up to you?” Worry fills his voice as he approaches me. “You can get me another one of these,” I say, holding up my empty glass. “Consider it done.” He turns to the counter, leaving me with Matt once again. “Matt, I appreciate everything that you have told me.
