Dante's POV
I could not help the grin on my face at Allison's reaction. At that moment, I didn't regret bringing her here- not that I had ever done so anyway. I'm sure she didn't mean to, but she always put a smile on my face when she tried to act so tough and unaffected. She had not said a word in protest since I swung her over my shoulder. I walked towards the exit, deliberately taking my time, savoring the moment, holding her the way a hunter holds a prize trophy. The guards were excited at the scene. It was good to see them so at ease. This whole traitor business had taken its toll on everyone.
"Way to go, Alpha," someone called.
"There will soon be little Alpha Dante's running around soon enough," a guard beside me said in a low tone to his companion.
