Eleanor's POV
My fear went into overdrive. I knew I owed him an explanation.
“I didn't mean to lie to you. I recently found out about my mother and also found out that she is married to the Donovan family. When I knew you weren't on good terms with your family, I tried to quit, but you didn't let me. I'm sorry.” I said stuttering.
“Would you like me to take those off for you? He asked as he turned and looked at me ferociously.
“My mother is not what you think of her, those are just rumors,” I said, trying desperately to make him understand.
