Eleanor's POV
On hearing my quest, she was stunned and was silent for a while.
Then she said,
“I would get angry if other people asked me this question like that, but you are my daughter, you have every right to question me.”
“Gabriel's ex-wife died of high blood pressure. I met him after his wife's death. People said I was his mistress and married him for his money, but no one knew how much I had suffered.”
I didn't know whether to believe her or not, but I did. However, I made a choice not to blame her.
