Chloe might be right. She should probably apologize to Carter. And so, she takes out her phone and dials Carter’s number. The phone rings a few times before he finally answers.
“Hello?” His voice sounds tense, like he’s been waiting for this call but also dreading it at the same time.
“Hi,” Izzy says softly.
“I’m not going to reject and break the mate bond no matter how many times you ask,” he says.
