Chelsey was clueless about the thoughts swirling in Lucas' mind. But the way he looked at her was intimidating.
She turned around and said to Timothy on the phone, "Okay, I'll wait to have lunch with you."
"Tell Sandra not to prepare anything. I've ordered food, and it'll be delivered at noon. The flight attendant is asking us to turn the phones off now. So I'll hang up. See you later!"
"See you."
Chelsey abruptly ended the call.
When she turned around, her eyes met Lucas' burning gaze.
Chelsey instantly looked away, refusing to look him in the eyes.
"Is Timothy back?" Lucas asked knowingly.
He was the happiest when Timothy was away. Now that he was back, Lucas' mood immediately took a downturn.
He could no longer accompany Chelsey to her next prenatal check-up.
"Yeah," Chelsey answered indifferently.
She then continued walking forward.
Meanwhile, the bodyguards followed them at a moderate distance.
Lucas stood beneath a ginkgo tree with newly grown green leaves.
