Lucas wanted to tell her, "No matter how dangerous the situation is, I'm willing to face it all because you asked me to."
However, as those words reached the tip of his tongue, he swallowed them back.
"Since you approached me, it must be something I can handle. Otherwise, you wouldn't have sought me out," Lucas replied seriously.
Chelsey nodded.
"Yes, you're indeed the only one who can do it."
"Tell me about it, then."
Lucas was a straightforward person. So, Chelsey did not need to beat around the bush.
Worried that someone was eavesdropping on their conversation, she took her phone, opened the notes application, and typed several words.
However, Chelsey did not send it to Lucas. Instead, she handed the phone to him.
Lucas frowned after reading what she wrote.
He typed a line in response.
"No, that's too dangerous."
Then, Lucas returned the phone to Chelsey.
She pouted and said, "You just told me you'll help me no matter what. You're lying!"
