Esmeralda sits up on her bed as she stared ahead into the oblivion thinking of how she would be able to get past this. In the former timeline, she was immediately elated the second she found out that she was to be married to Maverick Gunner. It was like her dreams come true but now …
That wasn’t her dream anymore. She wasn’t interested in becoming a puppet for her father to handle. He seemed more interested in what he would benefit from his alliance to the Gunner pack than her own happiness.
Esmeralda sighs wondering if he has always being like that and if she had just overlooked it because of the fatherly love that was being shown.
And then her two siblings … Mercedes and Alexei. The fact that they would even try to convince her father to make her marry Maverick is really surprising.
