Quinn's POV
I wake up earlier than Killian, he is sleeping beside me peacefully, with his hand wrapped protectively around me. He looks amazing, his soft breathing fanning my face. I turn to take him in, he is gorgeous. I wonder how free we have been with each other; in bed though.
I stretch my hand to touch his face but I stop myself. there is nothing between us, so I have to stop myself from falling for him. It isn't a good idea. We had our night, yes, but that was it. I have a boyfriend, well, had, because after what happened between us last night, I doubt that he would even want to see me.
Not that I care though, I don't even think I loved him. He was just available when I needed a man. I wasn't that invested in him. We mostly worked together, stealing from people, and had occasional s*x and eventually found ourselves in a relationship. I don't even know how it started.
I don't want the same to repeat itself.
I decide to get off bed, I need to leave, he will let himself out.
