"Alpha Lucious!" Claire rushed into the pack house with anger evident in her eyes. She was glaring at me, but I didn't give her any attention. I was also angry, and I had come back home to calm my head down.
"What is it?" I asked, finally gazing at her. If not for the respect I had for her, I would have walked away, but I decided to hear her out.
"You're asking me what the problem is? You left your mate out there! This is the time when she needs you, and you just left her like that?"
"She's not my mate!" I growled, gulping down the anger I felt. I didn't want to scream at Claire, but she was making me do it anyway.
