My eyes popped out in shock and immediately I detached myself away from her. I took three steps backward from her as I couldn't wrap my head around what she wanted me to do just to prove that I loved her.
“You see? There I have you.” She threw her hands up in the air, shaking her head in displeasure.
“I know that you have something going on with her and this is the only justification I needed from you.” Her hands dropped down as she walked over to sit on the bed.
My heart and mind was racing with different thoughts and silent voices that kept on whispering into my ears to walk over to Mira and beg her just for her to be at ease with me and herself but there I stood vehemently not willing to entertain any more drama by explaining myself to her.
I ignored her rants and silent talks she made to herself as I reached for the door without looking back to say a word to her.
“Alfred, for how long do you want to keep running away from your problems without providing a solution?”
