Blood dripped down from her hands to the floor, staining the tiles. Her hair was scattered on her head, sticking to her face. It was as if she had gotten into a fight and had only escaped because she got the chance to do so.
Celeste froze as she noticed my gaze on her. Her brows were furrowed, and her eyes went wide like she couldn't believe what she was seeing.
“Damon?” She whispered, then, hesitantly, she began to walk towards me.
I pushed back the duvet wrapped around me, climbing down from the bed. As soon as my feet touched the cold floor, I grimaced. I took a step, then another, stopping as I suddenly felt dizzy.
I believed it was due to the suddenness with which I had stood up. But at this point, I didn't care about being dizzy and planting my face on the ground. I just wanted to get to Celeste, ask her what happened, and why she was covered in blood.
