The room was silent after Damon’s declaration. If a pin dropped, you'd be able to hear the sound. I stared at him in shock as his anger almost boiled over.
It was the first time since I had seen him a few months ago that I had seen him so furious. I didn't think it had anything to do with the disrespect and him reminding them of his position at the moment; it looked like a more profound anger, a pain that he had been trying to push back for a long while. But now he no longer wanted to go back.
