Mathew's phone rang out for the umpteenth time as we had breakfast together, but each time, he kept snoozing and rejecting the call. I knew for sure that it was Megan.
“Why don't you take the call? It might be important.” I told him when the phone rang out again.
He looked at me, a small smile playing on his lips. “It's my secretary. I don't want anything to interrupt our breakfast.”
“Okay.” I replied simply and continued eating.
Silence crept into the atmosphere, only the sound of our cutleries echoed through the dining room.
I was enjoying the silence, at least I could get a peaceful moment for myself, but it didn't last long because Mathew soon interrupted.
“Honey, I might not be home tonight. I'll be busy at the office for a few days because of the preparation of the incoming event.”
