RAVEN
I slammed the door to my quarters and leaned against it, my breath coming out in sharp, ragged bursts. My fingers touched my lips unconsciously, and all I could think, over and over—he kissed me. Kieran kissed me. Of all the reckless things he could have done, this was the worst. And I let him. I didn’t push him away. I didn’t even try. I stood there like an idiot and let him devour me like I meant something to him.
The door creaked open behind me and Rowena walked in without knocking, as usual. “What happened?” she asked, eyes narrowing when she saw the look on my face.
“You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
I didn’t move from the door. “He kissed me.”
“Who?” Her voice was casual, but her body went still.
“Kieran.”
Rowena blinked. “Kissed as in… a peck on the cheek or—?”
“No, Rowena,” I cut her off, finally pushing away from the door and pacing like the floor would give me answers.
“He kissed me. Mouth on mouth. Heat. Fire. The kind of kiss that doesn’t just happen by accident.”
