Ever since the incident that occurred between the lieutenants and me at the veranda, I have kept to myself more, saying little or no words when Ryder or Brandon are not around. The manor was filled with silence most of the time as Brandon and Ryder were out, fighting off the rogues, capturing them, and asking them for leads. They knew it was Jason who was the mastermind behind this, I knew it was Jason as well, but for them to be believed, they needed a testimonial by one or more of the rogues naming their master in front of everyone including the elders.
These attacks have been happening for weeks now and each time I see Ryder and Brandon, I feel guilty. The stress was evident in their eyes, and their tiredness, and exhaustion were worn on their sleeves.
