She blinked once… twice.
“He… he…” she stammered. Her lips barely moved.
“DJ…” she whispered, with a broken voice.
She tapped Diego's arm, her hand trembling as she pointed at the SUV already engulfed in flames.... as if he hadn't seen it himself.
Then, like a jolt of lightning, Thersa shot to her feet.
“No.. NO!” she cried out, rushing toward the fire.
“Thersa, stop!” Diego yelled, grabbing her by the waist and pulling her back.
But she fought him.
The baby’s cry echoed again, loud and piercing from the burning car... which was haunting.
Thersa screamed. “HE’S CRYING! MY BABY!”
