I didn’t want Adriana to see me. Adriana’s voice mingled with Lisa’s. I was hiding from Adriana because I couldn’t risk her knowing Lisa was related to me and coupled with the fact she had seen me with Zane. If Adriana told Lisa she’d spotted me with him, Lisa would run straight to Grandfather, and the fragile threads of my secret company, CristaInternational, would unravel. Zane knew too much about my plans, and one slip could expose everything.
