I did not believe that Mom would buy me a new Lego set. Coincidentally, she never brought it up again.
On the fourth day, I had forgotten a lot of things.
I woke up to see the pieces of Lego on my bookshelf. I had no idea why they were there, but my instincts told me that they were important.
I looked at the broken pieces. I asked myself, “If they were so important, why would you have destroyed them?”
If I had destroyed them, perhaps they were not that important to me.
I took the box of broken Lego pieces and threw it in the bin outside. Then, I returned to the kitchen to get busy for dinner that night.
It was Raven's birthday. Mom told me to stay home to cook while she and Dad took Raven to the mall to pick out her gift.
They only returned home at eight that evening.
