I hurried outside with the thought of giving Mike a sweet kiss. My intention was to repay him for his kind gesture, and I believed that the idea I had come up with was the most wonderful way to do so, but my plans were thwarted when I encountered Olivia on the way. I kept looking for Mike, hoping to see him in the house, but no sign of him.
