Seeing Raven brought back mixed feelings, emotions I thought never existed and those that I thought have died during these last two years.
I walked out of the compound like a predator but my heart was like that of a bunny. I was torn inside out.
“I hope you can forgive me, Raven,” I muttered, turning back to the palace as soon as I got out of the palace gate. I knew she had thousands of questions to ask me, questions I clearly know the answer to but it was better left unanswered.
I was too far gone and swimming in my mess that I didn't have the dignity of facing her but I had no choice…Kai never rolls with dignity. Raven was mine definitely, a slave can't stay angry at their Master for long but for now she can have the lease…for now, Sooner or later she would be completely mine that's if either of us survive the war.
