All the employees stared in confusion as they were gathered on the first floor.
I took my father's hand and stood next to James, while Jack stood some distance away. He just kept staring at his feet.
"As a new employee in my company, I want you to abide by all the rules," James said in a big voice. He pulled Jack closer and motioned for him to stand in front of my father. "I don't like employees who are trouble makers, let alone authority figures, when they're just 'regular employees'. Just because we're related, doesn't mean you can act like an overnight boss."
James deliberately emphasized his last sentence and Jack's face turned sour.
The employees started whispering, because they knew that Jack was James' nephew who was notorious for causing trouble. And on his first day of work, he had already made James angry.
