Like a terrible joke, Angela didn’t show up all night. Raven kept everyone awake with her shrill cries. We ran out of formula, yet she wouldn’t just fall asleep. We took turns carrying her, but nobody’s arms seemed comfortable as she kept thrashing and her wailing grew louder.“Angela, where are you?” Nevaeh cried.
