We have been trying to track the number the kidnapper used to call me, but no luck yet. The police couldn’t get the signal, and that overwhelmed me. They promised to continue trying and get back to me when anything came up.“Any news?” I asked Pedro on my way back home from the police station.“Nothing yet, boss. I’m trying to get my hands on the street’s CCTV. But it will be hard without knowing the last place she was,” he said.“She was on Babylon Street, near Wild Haven Woods, at around 11 AM yesterday,” I said.“Thanks, boss. I will get back to you,” he hung up.“Where the hell are you, Angela? Who was that guy?” I muttered while driving.I received a call at that moment from the same private number, and I pulled over instantly to pick up the call.“Hey, Hudson!” he yelled from the other end, the sound echoing in my ear.“The yelling wasn’t necessary. What do you want? I will give you a
