As the plane touched down at Charles de Gaulle Airport, I felt so excited. Paris. The city of love. I’d dreamt of this moment for years, and now I was finally here.
Raymond, looking effortlessly handsome in his black jacket, took my hand as we stepped off the plane. His grip was firm, steady, but I didn’t let it get to me. But Inside, my chest fluttered like a bird trying to escape a cage.
The drive to the hotel felt like a scene in a movie. The Eiffel Tower loomed in the distance, Everything about this city screamed romance, but I pushed that thought away. This wasn’t some love story, after all.
When we arrived at the suite, I nearly gasped out loud. Luxury didn’t even begin to describe it. —I felt like I’d walked into a royal palace. I held it together, though, refusing to let Raymond see my excitement.
Then came a knock at the door. Raymond raised an eyebrow, walking over to answer it. Three hotel staff members stood there, all smiles and bows.
