We were back in the city, heading straight to the family mansion.
I was at the backseat, looking at my phone. I stared at Bella’s picture for a long while. My heart tightened. That small smile on her face. I quickly locked the phone and tossed it back into my bag.
No distractions. That’s the promise I made to myself.
