“Hell no, I can't let you come with me.”
“What, why not?”
I should have known it would be hard to make her stay.
“You don't have to worry, I'll take care of everything.”
“I know, but I want to come with you. No, I have to be with you.”
“Why? It's dangerous out there.”
“I know, but it will be more dangerous if I don't come with you, Alpha.”
“Call me Xavier, Lisa. I'm your mate and you are mine.”
“Oh,” she muttered with a sad expression. I didn't understand why she looked sad that instant.
“Is something wrong, Lisa?”
“There's nothing wrong, aside from the fact that I want to come with you, but you don't want me to.”
“Please understand my reluctance, Lisa.”
“Do you care for me?” She asked, staring deep in my eyes. Fuck! Those eyes are damn Irresistible.
“I Care for you, way more than you think.”
“Then if you truly care for me, just like you've said, let me come with you. This is the only way I'll be at ease.”
I stared at her and heaved a long, deep sigh. It's
