**Xavier's POV**
Walking over to my new mate, Melissa, I noticed she was hiccuping for reasons I couldn't tell. When I asked if something was wrong, she simply shook her head without saying a word, though her stare was something I don't even want to look at.
I roamed my eyes down the other parts of her body. There's nothing more about her that looks like Ariana, aside from her eyes.
Why was she staring at me that way? Xavier, put yourself in order. She's not Ariana and never would be. The only woman that's capable of moving me is Ariana and no one else. I don't care about this new mate the moon goddess gave me. She never should have bothered because I was doing fine on my own.
"Come with me," I said and led the way. I didn't bother to look behind me, though I could feel that she was trailing behind me.
