**Melissa's POV***
I have been in the Vulcan pack for a month now. And in this month, I've never laid eyes on my mate. I have no idea what to call this. Why is it so impossible to see him? It was as though he planned to abandon me the moment we arrived at his Pack because this is how I feel.
I heard a sharp knock on my door. I slowly got out of bed to open the door, and there stood Hana, the maid who also brought me breakfast.
“Hana, how may I help you?”
“The Alpha wishes to see you in his study room.”
“Huh? The Alpha is finally back?” I asked wide-eyed, but the maid refused to answer me. She never answered my questions whenever I asked. It's not just her. All the other maids in the mansion do not care about me. To them, I was a special slave, which their alpha took with him from the Lockwood pack.
Who am I to complain? A month since I left the Lockwood pack, I have never met troubles in the Vulcan pack. I preferred staying indoors because I enjoyed the comfort of being on my own.
