FINN'S POV
I arrived at the warehouse, feeling the eerie silence settling over me like a cold blanket.
It was completely still, almost too still. The kind of quiet that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
I looked around, turning slowly in a circle, trying to spot any sign of Adam or anyone else for that matter. But there was nothing—no sound, no movement.
I was getting pissed. Why would Adam ask me to meet him here, only to be late or worse, not show up at all?
I shifted on my feet, ready to storm out when my phone suddenly buzzed in my pocket.

I swiped the screen, irritation bubbling up. "Where are you, Adam Griffith?"
