Carsen's POV

I dismissed Darren's call when I noticed someone coming into my office. I looked and waited for the person to come out.

To my greatest surprise, it was my mate whom I had encountered earlier.

What could she be doing here after all the rude attitude she displayed earlier?

I cannot stop imagining how she spoke to me in a very rude tone. Not only that, she ordered me to pick up the papers on the ground.

As she came in, she acted as though she did not come to create issues while she demanded the presence of the CEO.

Only if she knew that I was the one she was looking for. I guess when she finds out, she will regret her earlier actions.

And from the look of things, she desperately needed the job to survive.

I made her know that I was the one she was seeking, but reluctantly, she refused to believe me. I should not waste my precious time proving a point to a mere human.

As she tried creating a big deal out of it, Logan, who was my secretary, came in at the right time and cleared her doubt.

As he came in, she did not even let him say a word to me. She started asking him if I was the CEO of the company.

The response was a huge heartache to her as her boiling reaction calmed down a little bit.

She was really shocked when she learned that she messed with the wrong guy.

I noticed one thing about her: she was not afraid to talk to me. Although she apologized for being rude, she went ahead to demand an apology from me.

That is one reason why I detest humans a lot. They never accept that they are wrong and would always look for a means to blackmail.

If I should give her money, I guess she would keep quiet and never talk about what happened between us again.

I know that I should not have pinned her to the wall in that way, but Rowan is really desperate to find his mate.

Unfortunately, this particular human was a stubborn type, and she needed to be taught a lesson and kept in her place.

I was not going to bring myself that low for a mere female human. I made it clear to her that she was going to get an apology from me only in her dreams.

She angrily stomped like a kangaroo out of my office.

I have noticed that she is a rude type and needs to be put in her place.

I decided to go through the documents that she had brought to know exactly where it was coming from.

After checking out the headline, I realized that it was coming from Mrs. Jade, a senior staff member in the organization.

I demanded her presence as soon as possible. The documents were too confidential to be given to a wayward human like the one she sent to me.

As she came into the office, I asked her about the documents and if she knew how important it was to the organization.

"I am so sorry about that, sir. I would have brought it to you by myself, but I was so occupied. I decided to give it to the new staff to see how competent she is. She kept explaining to defend herself.

I had to let her know that I would be doing some kind of adjustment for the young lady, as she had already explained to me that the rude girl was new to the company.

I would change her from where she was to make her pay for her silly attitude towards me.

As she was about to leave, I reminded her that my suit was still with the vendors and needed to be picked up today.

She was supposed to be the one to get them for me, but as I have seen a real scapegoat, she would be used as an example.

I asked Mrs. Jade to have her get the suit for me. She looked at me awkwardly, as if I had forgotten that she was new to the company.

Well, she should have tamed her tongue before applying for a job. I ordered her to deliver the message immediately, and she left.

Immediately, my phone started ringing, and it was Darren. Maybe due to the sudden holds in our call, he thought something was wrong somewhere.

He asked me if I was okay and if there was a problem.

I told him that everything was perfect because I was going to use someone as a scapegoat.

Anytime I told him that things were perfect, he always suspected that I had an ulterior motive.

Well, in this case, he is completely right. I was out to frustrate the living hell out of a stubborn human being.

She is going to know the reason why everyone should not be messed with.

As we were trying to discuss something more important, someone barged into my office without even knocking.

I saw the young rude fellow coming inside angrily. This remained the worst she could do, because more torment would still cross her part as far as I am concerned.

"Why would you send me to go get your clothes for you? Do I look like your personal servant or something?" She was furious but had no choice but to run the errand.

I made her know that she had no choice because it is all part of the job training, and I knew she would not be willing to lose her job so soon.

She walked out angrily, stomping her feet on the ground and promising me that she would get back to me.

I was already the one in charge, and she would continue to be my staff as long as she wants to keep living.

Jobs are really hard to find, and I am sure she would not want to lose the little she has to another person.
