I ran into the infirmary, Angelina right behind me.
We nearly crashed into Jake, who stared at me with a questioning look.
“You were supposed to keep her away,” he said to Angelina.
“I tried, okay. But she wouldn’t listen.”
I spotted the room Wraith was being taken into, and I hurried towards it, only to be stopped once again, but this time, by Natasha.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
“Natasha, I don’t have time for your games; get out of my way.”
“Haven’t you done enough? He’s in there because of you.”
I didn’t bother responding to her; her weak jabs were the least of my worries right now.
“Get the fuck out of my way or else—”
“Or else what? What can you do, little human?”
“Please, just stop. I have to see him; he needs me.”
“I’m on orders; no one goes in. The healers are working on him now; no one can be in there.”
I took a deep breath. Stepping back, I located the nearest seat, and sank into one of the waiting chairs.
