WRAITH’S POV
I could never get enough of her.
Before her, the only thing that kept me going was the anger and fury I’d held bottled up all these years. But now, she consumed my thoughts so much that some days I found it hard to think about anything else.
I knocked twice before stepping into Rex's room. The first thing I noticed was the nude girl, lying cuffed to the bed. I’m guessing this was the ‘work’ that’d stopped him from attending the Mate Ball.
The sound of the shower running told me exactly where he was.
I walked to the nude girl, ignoring the scared look in her eyes, I took off the cuff.
“Leave.”
She quickly rose to her feet and hurried away.
I placed the cuff on Rex’s drawer just as he walked out of the shower, with a towel wrapped around his waist.
“I should have known a sexy, nude, helpless girl isn’t enough to tempt you, Ronan.” He said. Selecting a bottle of Velden Noir from the wine shelf, he poured it into two glasses, passing one to me.
