Wraith led me to the garden, and once again, I was reminded of the secret I hadn’t told him.
I shoved the thought aside and focused on Wraith and how beautiful the garden looked at night. Some of the flowers actually glowed.
I took a seat on a bench, inviting Wraith to sit with me.
He did.
“Back there, It didn’t seem like you were enjoying the ball.” I noted out loud.
“Damn, was it so obvious?” He asked with a small smile playing on his lips.
“Not you did well—for the most of it.” I said, returning his smile.
“I would have asked you for a dance like a proper gentleman. But I’m a terrible dancer.”
I burst into laughter.
I wasn’t any good at dancing either, and everyone in there just seemed to know the steps like it had been rehearsed. But Wraith seemed to be good at everything, so I’d assumed dancing would be no different.
