Amelie’s POV
I knew he would come for me. I just knew it in my heart. I would go to the ends of the earth for Nathan, and I know he would do the same for me.
“Nathaniel,” Vivian stated. “Stay out of this.”
She waved her gun around.
“Mother, there is no need to be like this,” Nathan replied. “Amelie is not her mother.”
“It doesn’t mean that the daughter can’t atone for her mother’s sins,” Vivian replied.
“She’s not responsible for what her mother did,” Nathan said calmly. “Mother, I love Amelie with all my heart. Please don’t hurt her.”
