Amelie’s POV
I know this is the right decision to stay with Nathan in the hospital. Dr. Fellows said she would only let me stay if I got checked out thoroughly. I conceded and went to her office. She had the lab run bloodwork to make sure my hCG levels were good. Which they were, in fact, Dr. Fellows said, they were a little elevated. Dr. Fellows treated my wrists and gave me cream for them.
I promised her I would eat properly while staying at the hospital.
“Amelie, it’s not just yourself you’re caring for, it’s the baby too,” she said, smiling.
“I know, I promise I will take care of us,” I stated as I put my hand on my belly.
“Good, now go and stay close to your husband,” Dr. Fellows advised. “I have a feeling he knows when you’re in the room.”
“Thanks, doctor,” I said and left her office.
I went straight back to Nathan’s room, which happened to be the same one Carrington stayed in, way back at the start of our story. I smiled, thinking of how my life had completely changed in a span
