Sometime later, I exited the in-between at the same point I’d entered it. I wandered down the path and wondered how long I’d been gone. For me it was only a few hours, but I knew time could pass differently.
It was at least afternoon, so there was hope time had stayed the same. Then I remembered the last time fluctuation in the fae realm had lost me three days. That would really fuck up my timeline.
Running, I headed for the Alpha house. I stumbled a little when I stepped on a sharp stone and ended up crashing into someone. We fell to the ground and tumbled for a few feet.
“Holy fuck! Will you watch where you’re going!?” I shouted.
