Arthur’s POV
I inhaled deeply, taking my seat. Ava had just succeeded in making a fool of herself, more like I have made a fool of myself.
C'mon,I know Ava, she is my fucking wife, I should have investigated it myself before lunging at Jennifer. Well who cares, she deserved everything, it's a shame I didn't kill her when I had the chance.
The Elders were still gathered, their judgmental gazes still on me.
“This is unacceptable,” Elder Marcus declared, shaking his head. “Her behavior is reckless. It puts the pack at risk.”
“She made a mistake,” I defended. “A misunderstanding, that’s all.”
Elder Rowan scoffed. “Misunderstanding or not, Arthur, this is just another sign of her instability. We cannot afford a Luna who acts on emotion rather than reason.”
I scoffed, standing up from my seat slowly, it made the Elders staggered backwards, their confidence crumpling.
“Ava was doing what she thought best for the pack, that was her mother, she could have hidden it and moved on.”
