Ava’s POV
The morning air was crisp as I made my way to Dorian’s estate. My cloak barely shielded me from the chill, but I had bigger concerns.
I hadn’t slept much after what Rowan told me, I still couldn't believe Dorian was supporting my mother.
I couldn’t let that stand.
I needed Dorian on my side, He was powerful and if he backed my mother, I would lose everything and he was also my last card right now.
Charles walked beside me, his face filled with disdain. He wasn’t happy that Dorian had suggested we came to his place when it was supposed to be the other way round.
“I still don’t see why we have to come here,” he muttered. “I can't believe I almost forgot how full of himself he was, I thought he would have grown out of it after becoming the Alpha, guess I was wrong.”
“Charles please, you were the one that suggested that we meet him in the first place,” I reminded him.
He forced a smile. “That's because we had no other choice but that doesn't allow him to be disrespectful.”
