Ava’s POV
I woke up feeling like I had been crushed under a mountain, every muscle in my body ached, my throat felt like something hot just passed through it, and my head pounded like a drum in the middle of a storm.
I frowned, my eyes scanning the room. “Great, I'm still in this house,” I said, forcing myself up, my hand went to my neck, rubbing it gently. Until I froze, my eyes widened in alarm.
I remembered everything, I got up immediately and turned to the mirror, my heart beating fast.
The demon, it was in the mirror last night. I can't believe I actually slept off last night. I swallowed hard, turning to my son.
He was still sleeping comfortably.
I slowly turned back to the mirror, my hand went to my throat. “Maybe you just had a bad dream, Ava,” I muttered, trying to calm myself.
I rushed outside, scanning the environment, everywhere looked normal, I let out a sigh of relief, concluding that it was a dream.
