Ava’s POV
The castle corridors were eerily quiet as I walked toward Lady Eleanor's quarters. The cold air brushed through my face.
My mind is clouded with unsettling thoughts wondering what Lady Eleanor has laid down for me.
Everyone was really worried, Lady Eleanor was a woman everyone knew no one dared, I was just a nobody, unworthy to stand close to her.
I had been summoned to an elders' meeting, but there was something I needed to address first.
It was better to lessen Lady Eleanor's anger before standing before the court.
As I turned the corner, her maid appeared at the other end of the hallway. Her face was pale.
