AVA'S POV.
I couldn’t stop shaking as I entered my house. I was filled with fear and guilt. I still couldn't believe I saw Lady Eleanor's dead body.
My hands trembled as I shut the door, and I moved quickly to my bed feeling like I might collapse at any moment.
Once inside, I dropped onto my bed, burying my face in my hands as the tears started flowing down.
Lady Eleanor’s lifeless face kept flashing in my mind, and every time it did, I got so scared that I thought she might just come out from behind.
How could she have died? Why did the girl kill her? What could Lady Eleanor have done to her?
“This is all my fault,” I whispered, swallowing hard. “I led her into danger, why did I even play this game with her.”
