Ava's POV
The morning sunlight poured through the tall windows of Luna’s house, warming the air and casting golden streaks across the room.
I sat at the head of the table, surrounded by a group of palace maids, their faces a mixture of curiosity.
Today was the first time I’d officially met with them, I was nervous at all. After all, their previous leader just died but Charles insisted that they couldn't leave the Luna's house unattended.
“I’ve noticed a few things since moving here,” I began, trying to hide my nervousness.
“The way things were done under Lady Eleanor doesn’t have to remain the same. You are all a vital part of this house, and I want to hear your thoughts on how we can improve things.”
