I halted Cecile when I saw Luis alone on the terrace. Twirling the wine glass, he was holding. He seems looking at something outside.
I approached him. He didn't notice me, so I stared at what he was staring at.
Huh? Nothing.
Is he just stunned?
I get his attention by patting his shoulder. Then instantly I smile when he faced me.
He responds with a lonely smile.
He is sad.
"Sorry." He blurted.
Huh? What for?
“I mean I didn't notice you were around. Where's your husband?”
“He was with someone, a business partner, I guess. I didn’t notice where they were. What are you looking at?” Luis nodded. Then smile again.
“I just want to talk to him. Seems he is really busy. How are you?"
"I’m doing great."
His eyes are dim…
"Are you sick?"
