I quickly took the antidote and after a few hours, I was glad that I was once again back on my feet.
The maid gave me the antidote as I promised her to keep my word and spare her. I made sure to hide the antidote properly as that stick was a cure to most poison. To conceal what I had done to Scarlett even though it was the taste of her own medicine. I had to eliminate the foolish maid.
Sebastian ran to my chambers to inform me of Scarlett's condition. But the surprise was written all over his face as he saw me standing by my window side. "Long live my Lord Killian, it's a miracle, you are on your feet, my Lord." He said in excitement which made a smile slowly creep on my face. "Yes Sebastian, do you mistake me for someone weak and feeble?"
