SCARLETT'S POV

I could not believe that Killian found out I was the one responsible for the poison. Vladimir saw it coming, that was why he gave me the antidote. If only I wasn't careless. How did Killian come to know about the antidote? That stupid maid, I would have done it myself without leaving traces.

I was weak on my bed but still had little strength to move. Killian wanted me out of Manor as soon as possible. He made it clear to me that by the time he got back, I should be gone. I saw him leave on his horse and with the coast clear I had to find the antidote soon and leave before my symptoms got worse.

I stood up and observed the hallway, I saw a few guards on their posts and if I wanted to get inside Killian's room without suspicion I needed a distraction.
