Chapter Twenty-One
Stefan stood at the base of a sweeping staircase, his expression calm but determined as he gestured for me to follow. The air was thick with the scent of fresh paint and polished wood, a testament to how new the mansion was.
"Welcome home," he said, his voice low and confident.
Home? I stared at the sprawling estate before me, my eyes widening as they took in the towering ceilings, intricate chandeliers, and marble floors. The mansion was more a palace than a house, its sheer size overwhelming.
"You bought this?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
He turned to me, his blue eyes sparkling with something between pride and amusement. "Of course. The penthouse was too small for what’s to come. This place has everything we need—and more."
