I woke up to the send of Alex softly breathing next to me. His warm body was curled around mine with his arm wrapped around my waist, holding me close as he slept. The events from a week ago seemed a distant memory now, and whatever hurt I had felt in the forest no longer seemed so terrible now that I was in Alex's arms, safe and secure.
Moving slightly, I heard Alex sighed pleasantly in my ear, "I've been waiting for you to wake up."
