Rayne’s hands flexed and unflexed at his sides like he was barely leashing a monster inside him.
The tension crackled between us, thick and ugly. I knew he could overpower me physically if he wanted to. He was stronger, bigger, an Alpha in his prime. But there was no force on earth that could make me willingly hand Evalie over to him.
